The Detroit BizGrid / The BizGrid LIVE

The BizGrid is a physical infographic and resource matrix designed and developed to help small businesses and entrepreneurs navigate the wide array of organizations that exist to serve the Detroit business community. Facilitated by the former D:hive, the BizGrid came to fruition after multiple rounds of design, focus groups, product mockups and collaboration with network partners at Bizdom, TechTown, the Detroit Economic Growth Corporation, and the New Economy Initiative.

In its debut format, the BizGrid tableau featured over 50 organizations serving Detroit’s entrepreneurs and businesses, all categorized by stage, and color-coded to help users navigate the entries. Custom icons were also developed in correlation with the various types of assistance provided by each organization.

The BizGrid LIVE, currently in its fourth annual iteration, is a gathering where hundreds of Detroit entrepreneurs engage with dozens of the city’s most active business assistance organizations. Truly the BizGrid brought to life, the event is one of the best representations of Detroit’s business support ecosystem, and a true manifestation of networking at its fullest potential. Who’sThat? provided design and production services from inception through the first three years including, print collateral, directional and wayfinding signage, environmental graphics, event décor, program materials, motion content display, social media outreach and installation.
